Hello,
From one month or so I am experiencing difficulties finding tasks containing name "Карслберг" (in Bulgarian language) for example. If I search for "Кар" / "Карл" / "Карлс" / "Карлсб" / "Карлсбе" / "Карлсбер" - nothing is found, but when the whole word is written "Карлсберг" then it is finally found ...
Searching for "Слави" doesn't show result involving the word "Славина" in a task, too ...
Hi,
This has been passed to our team for further checking. We'll let you know when we have any updates. Thank you.

Hi,
At the moment, our search functionality hasn’t changed, and we don’t have plans to modify it in the near future.
As a workaround, you can use the filter tasks by task name feature. By clicking the magnifying glass icon in the filter bar, you can filter tasks that contain the text you enter, which may help in locating tasks more easily.

For more details, please refer to our guide here.

Hi,
We’d like to clarify how the search function currently works. Quire supports full-text search with the same meaning, which means it searches for complete words rather than partial prefixes.
Since Bulgarian is a language where words are separated by spaces, similar to English, the search function does not support prefix searches (searching with incomplete words).
For example, if you have a task named apple , you would need to enter apple to find it. Searching with ap or app will not return apple. On the other hand, if you search apples, it will return apple because the words share the same root.
We hope this helps clarify how the search function works.

This new way for search is not suitable for long words or when you don't remember the whole name of a task and are simply guessing and trying to find it, searching for part of the name is what is preffered (and was this way before update/change it), thus you don't need to write every time the whole word ...

Why not combine both ways - the older for part of the word more than 3 symbols and the new one for meaning - it will be better combination?
