Start here. This project is a working plan for one integrated marketing campaign, laid out in the order the work actually happens.
The worked example. The tasks below describe a gated-report campaign: a benchmark report as the offer, a landing page behind a form, a four-email sequence, paid and organic social, an SEO post, a webinar, and sales follow-up. Swap the offer and the channel list for yours. The phases and the gates stay the same.
How it is organized
- Six sections, one per phase, from brief to retro. Every phase that needs a gate ends with a milestone.
- Tags mark which function owns the work: Content, Design, Web, Paid Media, Social, PR, Sales Enablement, Data, Legal. Assign real people on top of these.
- Sublists give each function its own queue without splitting the plan: Content team, Design team, Web and Paid, plus a Launch-day checklist that collects only the tasks that must be true before you publish.
- Custom fields carry the campaign data: Channel, Budget, Target, Actual, and Launch-critical.
- Statuses run To-do, In progress, In review, Completed, with Blocked for work waiting on somebody else.
Your first five minutes
- Duplicate this project from the project menu so the template stays clean.
- Open the Campaign brief document and fill in the goal, the audience, the offer, and the number that defines success.
- Move the launch milestone to your real date, then drag the phases to fit around it.
- Give every task in phase 1 a named assignee. Unassigned tasks are where campaigns leak.
- Delete whatever you will not do. A template you never prune turns into a guilt list.
The two tracking views, and which does what
They are different tools and it is worth not confusing them.
The Dashboard tab is the visual one, built from widgets, and it is what you open in the Monday check-in. Add these, in this order: Approvals and Requests (the approval loop is what actually delays campaigns), Blocked Tasks, At-Risk Tasks, Upcoming Tasks, Project Health, Member Workload, and Tasks Created vs. Completed. That is seven, which is the Professional plan's limit; on Premium add Task Status Distribution and the Deadline Calendar.
The Channel plan and results Insight tab is the numbers one. It aggregates Budget, Target and Actual across the campaign, so the channel plan turns into the scoreboard without anybody rebuilding it in a spreadsheet.
