To start off, I really like Quire so far. It definitely allows my team to stay informed on the tasks at hand. There are times when I need to duplicate a task or move a task from one project to another. I think that would be a great addition to this program.
+1 for that feature

Thanks. You were asking at the moment:)

Hi Dan, Sorry we missed your comment here. It got a bit buried. 😃 Yes, it's something we can consider to make it happen. Thanks for the suggestion.

Also it would be nice if the tags can be transferred also, if the user wants to...

Is it possible to add the ability of transferring multiple tasks from at once? Or even by drag and drop?
Dimitrios Spirou, Apr 19, 2015
Hi Dan, We've combined "transfer duplicate" function in the Transfer this task item in the Options. Try it and please let us know what you think. 😃

Wow!!!Guys....you are so fast!!!Amazing job!!! I think we should bombard you with more requests ;) ;)

Thank you for implementing this feature. At least for me it has been proven to be very helpful. When moving tasks, one more request (apart from the batch transfer) could be the way the possible destination projects are displayed. I think that instead of the alphabetical order, a "by organization and then the projects alphabetically" order would be more convenient and will offer faster navigation. The interface could remain the same if the projects are indented. Also, please think of the case in which you will decide to support also the transfer of a task, as a subtask to a specific task/subtask in another project. I think that a drag and drop way of working will solve many interface related problems.

Unfortunately, yes. Batch move is yet another feature to implement:(

The option is online now.

There is an issue with the assigned tasks. (Correction Start) @tomyeh Knowing that membership is project-wide, moving tasks that are assigned to someone, who is not a member of the project the task is being transferred to, should not by default delete the assignment nor make the assignee automatically a member of the new project. (Correction Ends) This is something that should be decided on a "per case" with a "default policy in user's settings".

Thank you Tom for the tip.It is very useful. Still I face an issue moving multiple tasks into a temporary task, It seems like drag & drop is not working for multiple selected tasks and also that multiple selection is "visible" only to the options on the "filter bar" where there is no option for "move" but on;y for "completed","assign", "due date" etc. Is my understanding correct and hence I have to move them one by one?

Hello Ryan! Thanks for your feedback! The feature you have requested is definitely in our plan but we are unsure of the release date yet, please stay tuned!

As a followup to that, the ability to duplicate and transfer tasks from one project to another is fantastic. I've been looking for a task manager that can do this well. That said, would be be possible to combine the functionality of duplicating a task and the transfer to a single action ("Transfer Duplicate")? Thanks!
Dan, May 30, 2015
Sure, but we're busy for something else:(
Meanwhile, you can move the tasks under a temporary task first, and then transfer the temporary task.

Thanks for your suggestions. We'll take into considerations.

Make sense. We'll find a way to make UI easier to understand (especially for users who don't need them).
