Updates and improvements:

  • To edit a task name without going into the detail panel, you can simply swipe right on the task and tap the Edit icon.
  • In the latest version update (5.33), we have made some improvements in the detail panel, just one tap on the task name and you can edit the it directly, remember to tap Done to save the change.

Whenever I open a task in the Quire Android app, and then try to edit the task name, this screen pops up. It feels like an unnecessary step getting in the way of ease of use. Could we have inline task renaming, please? Screenshot_20180626-234641.jpg

Hi JS, By inline task renaming, I trust you meant renaming a task in the “task list” view? It could interfere with long press a task to drag & drop (move) it. Let us think about it.

No, I don't mean in the task list view. From the task list view (in the Android app), when you tap on a task, it opens the task view with description, attachments, and all that. From there, if I tap on the task name, it opens the task-rename view as shown in the screenshot. It is this last screen which I think is unnecessary.

I just need task renaming from the task view, I don't mind not having it in the task list view 😃
