When checking off a task you mark all subordinate tasks complete at the same time. I think it would be better to require all subordinate tasks be completed before signing off on the main task. the subtasks (and their subtasks) could be assigned to another team member or trade along with their own due dates. If checking of on all is desired by most, then the ability to toggle between the two options as needed would be useful.
