Filtering

Hi all, you can now filter tags with Boolean AND, OR, NOT. 🎉

I can see how adding OR to the filter area would be difficult to implement but the need for OR I think is an advanced use case and could easily be allowed for more advanced users in the search field.

Why not allow advanced users to do advanced search in the search field.

NAME:do the dishes AND (#home OR #grandmas) DATE:yesterday

The simplest way to implement this would be making advanced search terms available for the search field.

Then a link to a page that outlines the advanced search terms for advanced users who need this complex search.

Since the people who know the difference between AND and OR operators would already be advanced enough to know to make such a complicated search.

Andrés, Yes, we have. Currently, it is with “AND” conditioning, and we will add “OR” in the future.

Hi Crystal, Thanks for your reply. I have tried, that, and thats an OK solution, but would prefer filtering, but thanks anyway.

As for using Tags with "OR" conditiioning, TAG A or TAG B, so you would seen tasks with any of those TAGS, that would be great, and think could be easily implemented. Have you considered ?

Hi Andrés, Thank you for the suggestion. We have considered it, but so far no easy solution to implement it in a simple, intuitive UI. As for filtering task by their due date, have you tried sort by Due Per Day/Due Per Week? It might help.

Crystal PLEASE can we have an update on the Quire team adding the Boolean OR to Filtering. Is this being actively worked on ? Is it in the development que? OR I sit just on the "wish list"?
