e.g. do not want to see tasks that have start date in future

No, that dont' work. Tasks with no dates are in "Later" too, so I can't collapse-and-forget. I was initially talking about smarter filtering - I want to filter not only by assigne/created/..., but also like "StartDate less than 1 day from now (or empty)". And save this as "[Really] Smart folder" 😃

I have repeating task "Pay for website domain", I must do this every year in specific month, say November. I create task, set Start Date=1 Nov 2018, end date = 30 Nov 2018, and set to repeat every one year. Not sure I really need/must to set end date, but thats not important at this time.

Now I'm paid for domain and marked this task as completed. Several seconds later new task is created, with start date 1 Nov 2019 and end 30 Nov 2019. Everything great here.

But this task is visible in "Active tasks". And it will stay there for next 12 month! I thnk it's better if this task (with start date in future) will not be considered "active" and become active only after their start date

Hi Dmitry, you can sort tasks by Date, and then collapse the "Later" section at the bottom by clicking the down arrow next to "Later," so the new repeating task will not be shown. Perhaps it would help.

Hi Dmitry, could you provide an example with a screenshot of what you are suggesting? Thanks!

Hi Dmitry, thanks for sharing the idea. We will think about it and get back to you.

I like Toodledo approach where I can "make query" with filters by any field, and then save it as "smart folder". I understand that this is some "other" smart folders (not current one) and this is new/big feature, out of scope of current task.
