Holy crap! You guys are definitely on the right track! This program is awesome. I'm very excited to see where you go with this. I currently pay for Todoist, and would gladly pay for your product.
Some things I love (just some highlights):
Unlimited nesting. Thank you for that! Why is that not common sense for every to do app?
Start date in addition to a due date. Awesome. The whole concept of being able to have a status is just amazing.
The kanban board. That's amazing. You're the first app I have found that combines the power of lists with the power of kanban.
... there are lots of things I like; these are just a few.
However, some things that could use improvement:
I need an inbox. I need a way to quickly get things out of my head without having to organize it first.
Location-based reminders would be very helpful
- Sure. So one current task I have is buy my daughter a house key. It's not important enough for me to make a special trip to the hardware store, but the next time I'm there, it would be awesome for Quire to remind me to do that while I'm there.
I'm all about using GTD's idea of "contexts". I use labels to accomplish this most of the time. Labels like wife to remind me about things I need to discuss with my wife the next time we have some alone time to talk, or office for tasks that I can only do while I'm physically in the office. Location based reminders would aid in this, in case I forget to manually check Quire for any tasks with a hardware store label.

Hi Wayne, thank you for the clear example. We shall consider it.

+1 for location based reminders

Oh yeah, proper, manual reminders along with being able to hide tasks with future start times are easily the two things I'm wishing for the most. I find that the lack of these two really make Quire cumbersome to use, which otherwise is really great in most was.

Hi Wayne, thank you for the compliments and am glad to hear you are enjoying Quire.
- Yes, we are considering to add an "inbox" for quick addition of tasks. A work around would be to create a project titled Inbox and add tasks to it for sorting later.
- Could you provide us with an example (scenario) of a "location-based reminders"? Thanks.

⭐️ I have merged your post with this post #3535 already covering this request.
