#1553: Quire Feedback
Status: Completed

I am looking be able to search for specific items across multiple projects, and to be able to "Save" the search and have it available as a list of tasks in the main window.

Example: I would like to be able view a list of all incomplete items across all my projects that have the tag #CallsToMake so I can process my next actions that are calls.

It is possible to search for this, but it is not visible in a list- the results show under the search bar only, and it requires multiple clicks to execute the search (it asks if you want to search in other projects after you searched initially)

Preferably, somewhere in the menu on the left hand side, there would be a "Saved Searches" Menu Item that would allow you to quickly execute the search across projects and view the results in the main window.

I think that will work. there is a limit to the number of projects you can add though aren't there? that being said, I can probably limit my total projects by combining into broader hierarchy roots.

Hi Brian, You can currently do so by adding the projects to a Smart Folder. Within the Smart Folder, you can customize the filter and filter the specific tag, eg #CallsToMake. Then, you will see the list of tasks with this tag across multiple projects. Let me know if this helps! 😃

It is good to know that the restriction will be lifted in the future. Is there way to cause the filter to remain persistent when you navigate to the list? I tried bookmarking it, but that does not work. Or is it possible to do so from the smart folders? It remains persistent, but if you navigate away via a link in the hierarchy, for example, it removes the filter.

yes I have figured that out. I am looking for a more or less one click option to got to saved filters applied across multiple projects.

Hi Brian, Currently, a Smart Folder is limited to 5 projects. However, this restriction will be lifted in the future.

Hi Brian,

Of course, you can click on the star icon at the end of the applied filter conditions and it will automatically save your customized filter in the filter menu. Let me know if this helps! 😃
