#1605: Quire Feedback
Status: Completed

Hello,

Your interface is quite delightfull! I really like!

Juste some remarks that could make it better:

In the board page, when you sort by priority, you cannot add new tasks in columns :/ This is really time-consuming to remove the sort option to add a new task and set the sort option again. By default we should be able to add tasks when sorted by priority and either putting the task in the medium priority like you do it by default, either let us the choice of the priority.

I thought of another way of sorting priorities: instead of cutting lists of tasks to 4 parts (low, medium, high, urgent), I was expecting the sort option to only sort the tasks inside the existing columns, without cutting the whole board in 4 parts. This is wayy clearer for a "task dashboard" on a TV, there is less useless white space.

Another annoying thing: I find it cool to only display root tasks (in the tree) on the board page, but when I add subtasks in the tree-view they appear by default in the todolist of the board page, I have to delete them... I do that to prevent having 1000 tasks in the board page.

I'll probably have other feedbacks after some use.

Thanks you! Tschuss

Hi Peggy, I am really sorry but I really cannot create a new task this way! I can only add existing tasks! I've attached the issue.

Hi Julien, Sorry for my mistake, for the problem n°1, I got it confused with "filtered" by priority. When "sorted" by priority, you could only add new tasks by pressing Enter. Let me know if this helps. 😃

Hi Julien, Thanks for the compliment! I’m glad that you like Quire. 😃

  1. In board view, when sorted by priority, you could still create new tasks. Just press the “+” icon at the top of each column, and choose Create new tasks. You can press Enter to create more than one. FYI, the new task will be set at the priority level that you are sorted in, for example, if you chose to sort by “Urgent”, the new tasks you created will be also in “Urgent”.
  2. After sorting by priorities, it will be cutted into 4 parts (low, medium, high, urgent). It’s designed to be like Swimlanes, so you could see more clearer of a horizontal view for a particular priority. (you could see more here)
  3. For your last suggestion, the reason why the subtasks will be automatically added in Board view is because the subtasks “inherits” the root tasks behavior. So we assume when you add the subtasks added in tree view, you also want it in the Board. Hope this make sense. I understand it would be quite inconvenient in your situation, I will bring your case to our discussion. Feel free to send more of your feedback to us! 😃

Thank you for your answers 😃

For the problem n°1, I really don't see the "Create new tasks" when sorted by priority.. I only see "Add existing tasks"...
