#1696: Quire Feedback
Status: To-do

Hello guys,

we are a group taking care of a few websites for a non-profit organization. We have been using Basecamp for a few years now and we need to better organize ourselves and decided to give Quire a try. The hierarchy of tasks is a big factor because this makes think more about the actual many subtasks that would not be identified as if using Basecamp. The only thing I think, where Basecamp is good at, is at conversation: you create threads where the discussion/comments have a nice layout and take up the whole width of the page. Is there anything like this in Quire? When I hit <space> on a task, it brings up the right side panel, but it seems a bit restrictive, it needs some "air", and maybe that means it would be better if there was a "Discussion" or similar tab at the top, next to Tasks and Boards, mind you the comments of the existing tasks of Quire, if showed in "discussion" view, with full width, and easily clickable to take the user to the Tasks view with the given task already selected. Do you have any plans for something like this?

Thanks! Levy

Hi Levy, Thanks for your suggestion. Just to double check, do you mean the “Message Board” in Basecamp? What you mentioned above is kind of like a project level area for discussion. Actually, we do have it but it’s doesn’t take up the whole place like in Basecamp. You would have to go to the Overview under the project name, and then press Space, the comments area should pop up at the right. image.png

Let me know if this helps and if you still think there should be improvements for this. Thanks. 😃
