#1770: Quire Feedback
Status: Completed

The board view currently displays the child tasks of any parent task no differently. This can sometimes cause a lot of room to be taken up by parent tasks that have lots of children. It would be great to move the subtasks to a list view in the sidebar of the parent task to alleviate room on boards. This is especially helpful for large projects that have parent tasks with lots of subtasks under them.

Hi no_char, thanks for this suggestion, we have thought about this before, and are still thinking about a better approach to visualize this. Let’s say if I have 5 levels of subtasks, when added the parent task to board, all these subtasks will then all be squeezed into the detail panel, this would probably defeat the purpose of wanting a clear visual to work with. Please share your thoughts. πŸ˜ƒ

Thank you @peggy and I apologize for my delay in response. I'm a student and got caught up in a project. I'm currently working on putting together a simple mock-up wireframe of what I had in mind for showing child tasks in the sidebar

Good afternoon @peggy, I have a mock design drawn out and will post a preview a possible design solution once I've found time. Thank you for reaching out and I'll get back to you soon with my response.

Hi @peggy Since I haven't had much time to do anything for this I'd like to kindly ask that this ticket be closed with the possibility to revisit this topic later. When I have something drawn out and presentable I will make another ticket so as to not promise anything and not deliver.

Thank you for your time. Keep up the great work!
