Convert a Task to a Project. If this does not exist I’d like to suggest it. If it does already please let me know how to do it. Thank you.
Via Quire iOS
Hi Steve, It’s the same for the web version of Quire, you would still need to create a project first, then transfer the tasks into that project. We are considering this feature and thinking of a way to make the UI smoother.

Hi Steve, Do you mean you would like to convert a task into a project and move all the subtasks into that project as well? Unfortunately, this feature doesn’t exist. I suggest you could create a new project first, then transfer all the tasks/subtasks over to that new project. FYI, to multiple select on your phone, swipe left from the right edge of your phone to bring up the checkboxes. Or do you mean you would like to convert each task and subtask into different projects? Then you would need to create new projects separately.

We can easily promote a sub-task to become a task. Yes, I agree that we should be able to promote a task to become a project.

I now realize my mistake. A project (desired result) is fundamentally different from a task (step toward the result). The step of creating a project and moving tasks into it reinforces my understanding of the difference.

Hi Peggy, Yes, my goal was to be able to in some cases convert a task into a project including subtasks. How would this be done on the web version of Quire? Thank you for your suggestions. I do think this would be a valuable feature in the future. I think most features that are in that other app Asana would be valuable in Quire as well.
