#2143: Quire Feedback
Status: To-do

I really wanted to love this site because of the option to integrate it to my google calendar. But after having used the highly customizable and extremely user-friendly setup Notion offers, it makes what you are offering very rough and primitive. Not being able to seamlessly use boards and lists, not being able to customize the boards or lists from the rigid structures was also very disappointing. Trello and Notion offer much better platforms. I personally dislike trello, but sadly would be more inclined to go back to that than to use this structure set up. Notion just really has the better platform and if they allow calendar integration will truly have the next big PM platform. I hope that as you grow you consider these features. Also, it would be helpful to have overall workspace settings (like the calendar integration and task locations) as an organization setting so you are not having to do the exact same thing for every project you create. I am looking forward to your growth and development. I feel there could be great changes that would help you excel.

Notion is much more than that, but yes, the task and project management in Quire is much better.

I'm an avid Notion fan myself, but it's not quite there yet when it comes to managing your tasks. I tend to get a bit lost checking out all dashboards and views I created. Quire seems quite intuitive, but yes, Notion will probably be the better option in the long run at the pace they release new functionality.

Hi all, thank you for all your feedback. 😍 IMO, I view Notion as a solution designed for personal task management and note-taking. On the other hand, Quire aims to be a project management tool for creative teams or startups with challenging projects.

Agreed. Notion is indeed a powerful platform, but the task management functionality is weak. There is no way (that I can see) for example, to do recurring tasks. Another thing is the Overview functionality in Quire that is simply there every time you create a project. With Notion, you can certainly utilize functions to track progress, but it is not nearly as seamless. I'll be keeping an eye on Notion with a Personal Plan, but it has a way to go yet to become a viable project and task management solution.

So, to be honest, calling Quire "very rough" and "primitive" is not an accurate assessment. I have used all of the platforms you mentioned, and others you have not. Sure, there may be some things that work differently here than others, but Quire definitely is extremely simple to use, quick to ramp up on, and stellar at brainstorming and then doing something with that information. In Quire, for example, because of the simple task creation model, I was able to quickly create and structure a project I planned within 10 minutes, including the initial brain dump.
