Overview
On Android, one of the primary problems is that you cannot choose the task/project/filter that you want to use for the widget. This means that we have no control over what tasks are available at a glance, thus greatly increasing the ease of use when reading tasks from a home page view.
User Stories
- As a mobile user who wants to integrate Quire into my daily life, I want to be able to customize my Android Quire widget to be able to show the filters that I've created to reduce the cost of reading items.
Action Items
- Allow for propagation of filters/folders/projects/tasks to the mobile widget
- Create a new custom view to control which filter/search/parameters are used on the individual widget itself
- Allow for multiple filters on the same "widget" view.
Hi Austin, thank you for your suggestion. I will pass this to our team.

Any updates on this? Being able to customise my android widget is something I've been missing since the day I started using Quire. Because the way it is right now, I basically just use it as a big area to tap onto to get to the app. Because the My Tasks View is something I need when I'm organising my tasks, which I do in the app itself or on the website (on a bigger screen). The widget however would be perfect to just show the subset of task that I have planned for the day (which I personally have in a sublist).
Thus, I couldn't agree more with the original poster that being able to customise the widget would be awesome. But in my opinion, it would already be a big improvement to just be able to choose the specific (sub)list that is shown. Of course, being able to customise filters, groups and all the other fancy stuff for the widget directly would be cool, too. But enabling customisation of the shown (sub)list would also indirectly enable that as one could always create a customised "widget sublist" and set all the desired filters etc. there.

Hi Peggy, Thank you for your reply. While I'm sad to hear that the android widget hasn't been on the priority list so far, I of course understand that you cannot proritise everyting. In that case, I'm looking forward to the time, it will make it onto that list.

Hi, I regret to inform you that your request hasn't been prioritized yet. However, I've raised it during our team's latest meeting.
We've received several similar requests concerning the Android widget, and the team acknowledges the convenience it offers. We aim to prioritize this request once we've completed work on other feature updates. Rest assured, if there are any updates from the team regarding this matter, I'll share them with you. Thank you for your patience!
