Adding a new task in filtered mode

This is really annoying. To the point where I don't use the desktop version anymore to create tasks. Whenever you display a filtered list of tasks, you can't just add a new task. First you have to cancel the filter, then you can add a task. On the android version, this can be done smoothly, without the hassle of disrupting your flow of information. Shouldn't we experience the same experience on all interfaces?
