#2388: Quire Feedback
Status: Completed
Tag: Bugs

If I a recurring task that repeats everyday that has "since my last completion day" checked is completed at night, Quire skips the next day and creates a new task due 2 days ahead. For an everyday task this behavior is not expect. If a complete an everyday task until 23:59 the new task should be created with a due date in the next day.

This only happens when "since my last completion day" is checked.

I think it has something to do with time zoned. New task created is telling me will be due tomorrow (Sunday), but due date is on Monday. (See current time in my phone displaying 23:20) 2019-10-19 23.23.13.jpeg

I had a task set to recur every two weeks starting on X date. It all looked fine, but the next time I logged in, it was showing the task due one week from the starting date, even though the task was still set to recur every two weeks.

Thanks for your quick response, @peggy! 🙂 Later today I'll make a test and tell you if everything is fine.

Still surprised no one had talked about it yet.

Something unexpected happened. Task is repeating every day after completion. Due date is today at 22:00. I completed task at 23:17 the same day. Quire creates the new task tomorrow at 00:17. Why? Should be tomorrow at 22:00.

@joshuarobison.biz, if you leave "after completion day" unchecked, does the issue still happen?

Hi @leonardo.frazao , thank you for taking the time to report this issue and apologies for the inconvenience. 😭 We had fixed this issue, please refresh your Quire page and let us know if the issue persists.

Hi @mami , could you please provide a screenshot of how you have set the recurring task? Thanks in advance!

  • About "Since my last completed day". I suggest replacing it to a dropdown menu with the following options:
    • "Since last due date"
    • "Since last completed date" and
    • "Since my last completed date and time". I believe it would fit everyone's needs.
  • About the widget you may try changing device time zone to Brazil/Sao Paulo (UTC -3) and creating a task due in the next day morning. I think it would reproduce the issue.

@peggy, please mark this task as not resolved since there are still issues with due date in the new task Quire creates (as reported above)

Leonardo, Oct 21, 2019

Hi @leonardo.frazao , To answer this question, when you tick the box "Since my last completed day", the newly created task will set the due date based on the time you completed the original task. Uncheck the box and the new task will recur based on the due date you've previously set.

As for the mobile widget problem, we weren't able to reproduce this issue. Would you mind providing the reproduce steps for the Dev team to investigate further?
