#2449: Quire Feedback
Status: To-do
Tag: Obsolete

Is there a more specific plan for the implementation of subprojects. I see that it is on your plan for at least 2 years now. I can't work without it, as I work in large projects with different phases and different subprojects.

In Todoist you have 4 levels of folders/projects. That works perfectly fine. Tags are just a workaround for this this type of requirement. Tags should only be used to assign a certain characteristic/classification to a task.

I work in IT where we have a Quarterly release which consists of 10 different change requests and runs for done 4 mobths. These change requests are subprojects which are part of a larger project. Each subproject consists of around 100 tasks/subtasks. So your suggestions sound usable for small projects but for my projects this would just be some workaround.

@joshuarobison.biz A project consists of a series of tasks to come to a specific outcome. A task a a standalone action which can be executed (which can be part of a project)

Sub tasks and sub projects are different things in my opinion.

@pascal.zweipfenning Thank you for your feedback. We're currently working on a lot of features right now so probably subfolders will not be introduced this year 😞 But please know that our team is already aware of this request and we're working on making it happen on Quire!
