Quire - Would be great of the task date, for at least the coming 7 days would indicate the day of the week (Mo, Tue, Wed etc.). That makes it easier to determine which day (instead of date) the task is due.

You can use the 2-level sorting option. It might not be the exact solution, but it gives you a workaround 😃
