Hi, hmmm this is really strange, we haven’t encountered this kind of issue on our side. Would you mind helping us with answering the questions below? Thank you.
- Are the push notifications the same as in the notifications inside the app?
- Are the timestamps on both kind of notifications the same? i.e. The notifications in the app show "2 hours ago", but in push notifications, it shows "20 minutes ago".
- How many times did the notifications in the app show up? Did they repeat themselves after being notified the first time?

We have multiple administrators. We were getting notifications despite having notifications turned off in the app. We have iPhones and realized we would need to turn notifications of in setting for Quire in the iPhone itself. That did it. No more notifications when people made changes.

This happens me a lot too. I think it usually happens if I modify start/due dates & times on two different devices e.g. my iPhone first and then later on my laptop via the webapp. My iPhone doesn't seem to handle the new dates/times correctly and instead seems to select a random collection of recent uncompleted tasks and notify me about them again. The bell icon will show a badge of say 4 notifications and when I select that the notification list it will show 4 tasks but (and this bit is from memory so this may be wrong) then it will refresh itself and those 4 notifications will disappear from the list.
To try answer your questions above:
- I got both push notifications and notifications in the app (all on iOS).
- From what I can remember the times were different like you mentioned - The notifications in the app would show "2 hours ago", but in the iOS push notifications it would show "20 minutes ago".
- There were definitely repeat notifications from tasks that I had received notifications for earlier and that I shouldn't have received notifications for ever again.
It seems like the notifications aren't working correctly due to one task in particular and this is why notifications for multiple tasks are being received. I've found in the past that if I clear my start/due date & time values, and then set them again, the issue will stop and notifications will begin working correctly again. If I don't do that then I might receive a collection of unexpected notifications multiple times a day or every couple of days, (at random intervals overall really). I'll try grab some screenshots and replicate it the next time it happens me again and I'll update here with the info.
Cheers

Hi @jimibluff , thank you for the details! We will look into it. Screenshots and the reproduce steps would be so much appreciated. 😃
