Hi,
I've set the time for some tasks, but didn't receive any notifications, whether push notifications nor email notifications. Can you help? Please inform any details required to assist in troubleshooting.
Via Quire Android
@vickyp Update I think that I received the notification the next day. But I can never get a notification the day that I set it. I have to wait 24 hours for some reason.

Was there recently a change in the behavior of notifications related to tasks being assigned to you?
If I am the creator but I don't assign the task to myself -- I have always gotten notifications anyways.
Has this possibly changed?

Hi Joshua,
I just checked with my own devices and the notification works just fine so I'm afraid that we couldn't reproduce the issue from our end.
You might want to check the Quire notification settings on your device or the internet connection. We're sorry for the inconvenience though.

I keep trying to set it and test it but.
It doesn't show up in my bell icon in the Quire app or in my Android notifications.
I get every single comment notification though (but I did not check any box to receive them)

Hi @joshuarobison.biz , we hadn't change any behavior for notifications... ðŸ˜
- Would you please give us an example of a task that you should receive notifications but didn't?
- What's the start date/due date you have set it to? Or start time/due time if have any?
- Also, it would be extra helpful if you could share a screenshot of the Reminder settings in the Account Settings.
Thanks so much in advance!

I remember quite a while back; another user mentioned something about time zones being related to timed notification issues.
I live in Japan, if you think that is important.

Hi Joshua,
This might be a bug. We have debugged another issue with tasks that has due/start time and it looks like this is the same bug. We're working on fixing this issue and we'll let you know once we have more details. Thank you!

Upon further testing in Android here is what I have experienced.
When making a recurring task and setting a timed notification , the notification will not run until about a 24 hour period between making the notification task and the task running.
A way that I got around this is, I created the timed notification for a time in the past and then swiped the task to complete and then changed the date and time to today and then set the status to "to-do" and I sometimes got it to work.
I have a feeling that the problem is that it takes TOOOOOO much time to sync the task with your servers . After creating a notification your servers need to get the synced task in order to notify the user. This is a problem. I don't know how to fix it but the way that you handle notifications , will most likely, never work correctly .
Personally, I'm tired and frustrated with testing this. This does not mean that I do not like Quire or think it's value is any less. It will continue to be very valuable to me but the reason that I left Everdo was because they did not have timed notifications on Android. Getting those timed reminders are extremely essential for productivty. I know you guys have a mountain of things you are working on so my expectations are not high.
Thank you for the services and functions which DO work.

Hi @lianazaman , this is a known bug by our team. We are looking into it. Thank you for the report. I will keep you updated when I have more information.

Hi Joshua,
Our Dev team just fixed the notification/reminder. But you have to reset the due date/due time for the updated version! Sorry for the inconvenience.

I'm also not getting any task notifications on my phone or Chromebook.
I get plenty of comment notifications, though;
Which I would love to turn off T_T
