The reminders will send out notifications for tasks with due date that were set several minutes before. For example, at 12:00 you set a task to have a due date at 12:05. The system will definitely fire a notification to you. However, if you only allow our system several seconds to set up the notification, chances are the notification will not be notified.
The reason why we don't allow immediate notification is that Quire server can get really overwhelmed and the overall performance will get slow down.
