#2667: Quire Feedback
Status: Completed
Tag: Resolved

If you sort a project by date, everything that has either a "due" or "start" date of today will appear in the "Today" Section but only tasks that are due tomorrow (but have no start date) will appear in the "tomorrow" section. Tasks that start tomorrow but are due later only appear in the "Upcoming" section.

It doesn't really make sense, the sections should all be based on either the "start date" or the "due date". At the moment, the "today" section is based on the start date and the "tomorrow" and "upcoming" sections are based on the due date.

It would be great if there was a choice but otherwise it would be really useful for all three section to be based on the "start date".

Hi @peggy tasks with start date and start time are moving to the overdue section on mobile. Tasks with just start dates are working fine and moving to the today section once the date is past. The problem happens when start time is added.

Unless I’m being dumb, there isn’t a sort by start date option

Kyle Langley, Dec 21, 2019

Right, When you choose sort by date, the system should show in "today" all the tasks that finish today but also all that are schedule for an interval that contain this date. If you want to sort only by end or start date you can choose those options also in the sort menu already.

Having another look at it, there is already a due per day sort option so the "date" sort options should absolutely be based on start dates (if a task has one)

@peggy quick response and the issue is completely solved. 👏Thank you

@peggy amazing turnaround. Looking forward to moving the team over to Quire.

Hi @kyle.langley , we have fixed this.

Now, the sections are based on the start dates. E.g. if the task starts tomorrow and is due later, it will appear in the Tomorrow section. Only the Overdue section is based on the task's due date.

Hi all, I had let our team know about this feedback. I will keep you guys updated when we have any updates! Thank you and Merry Christmas. 🎄

I see what you mean now. You can do "start per week" but not start per day. I really like where they're going with it, it's just a little inconsistent at the moment

Kyle Langley, Dec 21, 2019

@peggy Thank you

Vikramjit Bora, Jul 6, 2020

@VBora - this had been fixed in the newest update (v 5.19). Please update your Quire app and kindly let me know if the issue persists. Thank you so much!
