#2766: Quire Feedback
Status: To-do
Tag: Bugs

Hello,

I am experiencing a bug with tasks that I set to repeat on specific days of the week. Specifically, if I complete a repeating task that is due today, and it is supposed to repeat tomorrow, it doesn't repeat tomorrow. Instead it repeats on whatever the next day is it is supposed to repeat (e.g. the day after tomorrow).

I tested this by doing the following:

I created a recurring task today (Tuesday, Jan 21). Set it to repeat Tues / Wednes / Thurs. So if I complete it today, it should repeat tomorrow. However, if I complete it, by clicking on the circle icon in list view (to the left of the task), then it says it is next due Thursday, Jan 23 (not Wednesday, Jan 22), so it skips a day. If I complete it again then it goes to the next day (Tuesday, Jan 28) and behavior beyond that works as expected. It seems like it just has this strange behavior for the due date after today.

However, if I set the time of day as part of the due date (I tried both 12:01 AM and 11:59 PM), it repeats as it should. Weird!

Also, if I set it to repeat Tues / Thurs / Friday, it works as expected. Seems like it is only an issue if (1) time of day is not set and (2) if it is supposed to repeat tomorrow.

Anyway, I hope this can get resolved soon - I really love Quire and am getting all my co-workers on board!

I'm also using Google Chrome Version 79.0.3945.117 (Official Build) (64-bit) if that matters.

Best, Jon

Hi @jonstrutz11 , sorry for the late reply. I tried to reproduce this issue on my end. Unfortunately, the system didn't skip a day. It generated a new task with due date Tomorrow like it should be... (weird 😭)

Would you mind telling me which time zone you are in? I'm guessing it might have something to do with this issue. I will then pass this information to our development team so they can look further into it. Thanks for your help.
