#2769: Quire Feedback
Status: To-do

Hi Team, great going great app. But I miss one thing, TEMPLATES. I understand that these has been discussed earlier and got rejected, but it is critical when Quire evolves. The copy taste will not work as it will have dates pre populated. It would be easy and efficient (that's critical for a task app) to have all recurring and/or process optimised workflows in one place to refer, refine and adopt later when requirement come. Please guys give it a try. For the level of sophistication Quire has and considering the competency of our coders this is nothing. Hope it gets implemented soon. Thanks guys as always.

I agree templates of tasks and subtasks

I don't like the current template idiom either, It should not break the workflow to repeat a set of tasks/ a checklist.

Hi @enewsdigest1

When creating a project, you can choose another existing project as the template for the new one.

Thank you very much.

Hi @enewsdigest1 , if you create a new project using a Template project, the tasks in the new project will adopt the same due dates as the Template project.

Could you please give us an example of what you are requesting? Thank you!

The templates should not be prepopulated with dates. That is the essence of a template right. I need the project/tasks to be stripped of all dates before saving as a template. Another novel thing would be to have timelines for templates. For example, if the group of tasks saved as a template has a workflow then we can instruct that Task-B should happen 2 days after Task-A (initiation) and Task-C should happen after 5 days of Task-A. Teamwork has an excellent template setup. I am pasting a screenshot for your reference.

Thanks @vickyp . But I think if dates are assigned on the existing project then it will be pre populated in the new project too. Right?
