#2803: Quire Feedback
Status: To-do

Project completion and task execution depends a lot on PSYCHOLOGICAL factors. Gamification, excitement and imagination are just a few.

We are not robots, after all. If I can't COLOR my tasks, I can't visualize them as easily - so I'm less excited about them and less likely to complete them. I couldn't find a way to set the task color in the Android app. I understand this isn't a life coaching app but a task manager, but you can still help your users be more successful. Thank you

Guys, we've been over this a couple years ago when I was actively helping to improve Quire. Users DON'T think in markup. Unless you're targeting robots with your program, I really encourage you to consider my feedback and provide more intuitive ways to format text, and therefore to make using your app DELIGHTFUL, Otherwise a competitor will come along who will do just that, and you know what happens next.

@alexr Thanks Alexander! We really appreciate your insights!

@vickyp I appreciate it. Please keep in mind: there's a MILLION apps for task management, to-do tracking, etc. You can stand out by actually helping users to FINISH their tasks :-) You've got to do Whatever It Takes. Your UX benchmark is NOT just how easy and intuitive your app is, but how many tasks users complete and get done! That's what customers will brag to their friends about, and generate the word of mouth - not about the fancy markup that's available for geek-styling their tasks :-)

Hi Alex,

We understand your frustration 😞 I will pass this suggestion to our team for further discussion. We will try to have another approach that is more user-friendly 😃

Hi @alexr, sorry for the frustration 😞

We use Markdown to add style to the task. If you want to color your task name red, you can use {color: red | Task name} and it will return as Task name

Hope it helps 😃
