Hello,
I use Quire on both my work computer, and home computer.
I set my lists to only show Active tasks (completed are hidden). However, if I select a task at home, go to work, complete it, come back home -> my list will now show All tasks in order to resume focus on that last selected task.
Could you please change this behavior so that Quire selects the last task I selected, regardless of which computer I used? Otherwise I have to re-set my filters every time I change computers.
Simply add this 'last selected' to the data that's being synced?
(this topic is a follow up to #2740 , not sure if it was better to continue there, or phrase it more clearly here).
Try this, I tested this scenario now, using mobile app and desktop computer.
- Select a task on the Quire desktop.
- Close Quire tab in the browser. (as when you close everything before shutting down the computer)
- open mobile app.
- Complete the task that was selected on the computer.
- Use the computer again, open new tab and go to Quire website.
- Filter will have changed to include all tasks. (as the task that was last selected on that computer is now completed, and cannot be shown unless 'all tasks' are displayed)
I reproduced it successfully a few times now.

Hi @ic , ahh okay. We will need to think about this. This isn't our priority at this moment. However, I have already added this suggestion to our internal list. Thank you for your feedback.

Hi @ic , I wasn't able to reproduce your issue following the steps that you have written. My task list on computer A (home) will not be changed to All Tasks when I complete the task at computer B (work). Instead, the focus will automatically changed to next task in the following list.

I believe the intuitive behavior is to sync the information which task was last selected, and simply select that tasks when quire is launched, regardless of the platform or computer. 🙏
