#2805: Quire Feedback
Status: To-do

Hello,

I use Quire on both my work computer, and home computer.

I set my lists to only show Active tasks (completed are hidden). However, if I select a task at home, go to work, complete it, come back home -> my list will now show All tasks in order to resume focus on that last selected task.

Could you please change this behavior so that Quire selects the last task I selected, regardless of which computer I used? Otherwise I have to re-set my filters every time I change computers.

Simply add this 'last selected' to the data that's being synced?

(this topic is a follow up to #2740 , not sure if it was better to continue there, or phrase it more clearly here).

Try this, I tested this scenario now, using mobile app and desktop computer.

  1. Select a task on the Quire desktop.
  2. Close Quire tab in the browser. (as when you close everything before shutting down the computer)
  3. open mobile app.
  4. Complete the task that was selected on the computer.
  5. Use the computer again, open new tab and go to Quire website.
  6. Filter will have changed to include all tasks. (as the task that was last selected on that computer is now completed, and cannot be shown unless 'all tasks' are displayed)

I reproduced it successfully a few times now.

Hi @ic , ahh okay. We will need to think about this. This isn't our priority at this moment. However, I have already added this suggestion to our internal list. Thank you for your feedback.

I believe the intuitive behavior is to sync the information which task was last selected, and simply select that tasks when quire is launched, regardless of the platform or computer. 🙏

Hi @ic , I wasn't able to reproduce your issue following the steps that you have written. My task list on computer A (home) will not be changed to All Tasks when I complete the task at computer B (work). Instead, the focus will automatically changed to next task in the following list.
