#2832: Quire Feedback
Status: To-do

If I paste a Png image directly into the task's description, it is saved as a Jpeg and therefore blurry. (my Png file was a screen capture of an article, and text and sharp details are lost when you save them in a lossy Jpeg format). Png is a lossless format. I recommend saving Png strictly as Png, because that's what the user pasted - such as by using Ctrl+V into the description.

The second problem is that even when I attached the Png file to the task (using the little paperclip icon), it was saved as a Png - but it still displayed wrong when I clicked it. It was larger on the screen than my original image, abour 20% bigger visually. I would attach it here, but it will get "corrupted" again. Simply capture a screenshot of any website, and try.

I would really expect my images to be preserved - they could be shopping receipts, customer agreements, charts, screenshots of high-level details that shouldn't be downgraded/compressed. Maybe that is a PAID feature you'll want to offer - "Keep original image quality". But for now, please don't mess up my images 😃

Hi @alexr , thank you for your feedback!

  1. We will compress the .png file and embed it as .jpeg file since .png files are too big. However, I will let the team know about your suggestion.
  2. We weren't able to reproduce the attachment issue. Would you mind providing your sample .png file for us to test it out?
