#3000: Quire Feedback

This was also mentioned here:

The sorting logic isn't quite right. When sorting by date, tasks should be sorted by due_date first, then by start_date. A picture is worth a thousand words so:

This is a screenshot from my actual "To Do" list. Specifically, it's the "My Tasks" section, sorted by Date, then Priority.

It seems logical to me that the order of the tasks in the "Today" section should be:

Current Order Desired Order start_date due_date
7 1 none Today
8 2 none Today
9 3 none Today
3 4 March 16 March 26
1 5 March 16 March 27
5 6 March 23 March 27
4 7 March 16 April 8
2 8 March 20 none
6 9 March 23 none

That did it! Thank you!

Is that the mobile app? Because I'm on a desktop computer, and my screen looks nothing like that.

Hi @minealone6,

I'm sorry that you had experienced this problem. We tried to reproduce this issue on our end but unfortunately, we couldn't.

Additionally, we have added two options for Sorting by Date: Start Date and Due Date as you can see in the screenshot I provided. You can try to adjust the setting in the Filter bar and see if the issue persists.

If the issue persists, please let us know along with a screenshot of the current Filter that you choose and the result so that our Product Team can visually understand and quickly fix it. Thank you.

Hi Minealone6,

The filter options will be visible if you click the Filter icon and choose Customize (I provided a screenshot for you).

Mine list just started doing this about a month ago. Before it kept everything in order perfectly, but now it's all over the place.

Minealone6, Jan 7, 2022

@peggy , did you guys add a "Group by" option to the filter criteria? I swear it wasn't there before. If you did, I love it! If you didn't, and I just overlooked it before, I still love it, and I apologize for the oversight 😃 .

That said, I re-did my filter to "Group by" Date then Priority, then I added a "Sort by" Date. The results are better than what's in the "Description" of this task, but still not quite right.

Still not sorted by due_date then start_date

Current Order Desired Order start_date due_date
3 1 none March 29
4 2 March 28 March 31
5 3 March 16 April 8
1 4 March 23 none
2 5 March 27 none
