De-nesting tasks on Android app is frustrating

After reviewing 20-30 pm apps for my home renovation project, Quire is the front runner. So far though, I'm put off by the tendency for new subtasks to be added as a 3rd stem in tasks. Ideally, I want to lock my structure to project/task/subtask, rather than project/task/subtask/sub-subtask. Attempts to de-nest these tasks on the Android app end in frustration, as once I finally get them out of the task above, I then need to reorder the tasks to go back to my desired step by step plan.
