New notification setting "all other updates"

Are other people having a problem with the default setting being off for "all other updates" so Quire's default behavior when new tasks are created in a project to NOT send email notifications? Whenever we create a new project everybody has to be reminded to check "all other updates" so they can get email notification of new tasks.
