This is a small one, but it can be annoying, especially when you already have your tasks/board set. Quire gives you a default view, which is okay, but you can't create your own view and make it default. That defeats the purpose of being able to set custom filters for one list. Sure, you could use quick lists, but that could become unsustainable, especially if you have lots of them.
Hi Peggy, I’ve sent the video to support@quire.io TQ!

It looks like this is an old thread, but since I'm currently experiencing a similar issue, I was wondering if it got resolved?
My issue is that my main list keeps opening with board view, even though I never use that view for my main list on neither of my devices. I wish it would just open in tree view (which I use almost all the time). Or is there a setting or something else I'm missing?

Hi Golda,
Your questions actually helped me solve the issue. I looked at the bookmark in detail and realised the link actually specified the view. I now set it to tree, which solved the issue.
Thanks a lot!

Hi Golda, Thank you for taking your time to help me.
I read that your system remembers the last view. That's why I was confused why it keeps opening in board view, when I never use it for the main list (only for my sublists).
About how I open my project: I have the main list saved as a bookmark in the bookmark bar of my browser (Google Chrome) on my PC. I usually access it from there. So, I encounter the issue in the web app. I also use the mobile app, but not as often, and the issue doesn't apprear there either. I hope this helps. If you need to know more, please let me know.

Hi Josh - Our system will remember the last filtered view or sublist that you were in when you change to another project or close the browser tab.
Which means when you come back to Quire next time, it will take you back to the filtered view you were last in. Is this what you expect? Or are you looking for something else?
For 'default view', in my mind, it would be a (filtered) view permanently set for that specific project, meaning that all the members will see that view every time they access that project. Is this what you are looking for? We are open for ideas! Thanks.

Sorry I just realized that the mobile app does allowed us to switch to a ‘board view’, but I tried to switch all my projects into ‘board view’ manually through mobile app and desktop... and my conclusion is... the system doesn’t remember what I set, and showing me the same ‘tree view’ when I visit all my projects afterwards.
Josh, Apr 28, 2021
The current situation is... the system is forcing me (us) to use ‘tree view’
Josh, Apr 28, 2021
I think I know why the problem keep on coming up, I accessing my projects from the mobile app and desktop during my day... as what you mentioned, the system will automatically switch to the previous ‘view’ as where we left.
And the issue is... there’s no ‘board view’ in your mobile app, so every time when I visited the project on a phone, the desktop will automatically switch the ‘view’ into ‘tree view’. I think this is a bit annoying when I need to keep on switching back to ‘board view’ when accessing from a desktop.

Please fix this as it has become an issue for me (and some of the users who not using ‘tree view’, I believe)
Josh, Apr 28, 2021
I have nowhere to set ‘board view’ as default view, and it doesn’t remember which view I left off, and it forced to go back and show the ‘tree view’ again, every single time.

Hi Josh - Sorry for the late reply. Our web version and mobile app will not sync the same last view, what I mean is that if you are viewing a board view in project A, and then you switch to the mobile app, it will not open to the board view in project A. It should open to the last project and view that you last viewed on the mobile app.
At the moment, we don't have a setting to set a default view for every member of that project. If implemented, are you expecting to see the board view every time you open up the project; no matter where you have left off the last time. And are you expecting for this setting to apply for every single member in that project? Kindly let me know, I will pass it to the team.
As for the issue: forcing you to use the 'Tree view' every single time; I have tried to reproduce this on my end. However, I wasn't able to reproduce it. Could you kindly share with the reproduce steps and screen recording of this happening to support@quire.io? This way, our engineering team can have a visual understanding of what might be happening. Thanks for your help!

I strongly agree with this one! Please let us set our own default view instead of showing ‘Tree View’ ALL THE TIME when moving from project to project. I want ‘Boardd View’ as default. Please…

Hi @K_Henggeler, Our system remembers the last view you selected when navigating between projects or closing browser tabs.
To better understand your feedback, could you please provide detailed steps on how you typically open your project? For example, what buttons or links do you click? Also, please specify if you're encountering this issue on the mobile or web app. Thank you.
