Selection, cutting and pasting text

I use the iPad app, and have no way of cutting and pasting text. I often want to cut and paste url links and other text in posts, and have no way of doing this. Not being able to do this, cripples the app in terms of fundamental functions, which are available in other apps.

Another annoying thing is that I cannot easily select text using my finger or pencil.

I would like to kindly request to provide this most fundamental functionality.
