Hi! I think it's great that Quire supports reordering tasks in a tag filter view. Quire is one of the only task managers to do this.
It's very important: for example, if we use tags as contexts, like "phone" or "computer" or "errands" then we can quickly see which things we have to do across all projects, whenever we are working in that particular context. For example, if I'm driving, I can make calls while I drive, across all projects.
And being able to set priority order for those task types is very important. Keeping with same example: I can put the most important calls first, in case my commute is too short for all of the calls I need to make.
The problem is, Quire currently does tag-view task reordering wrong: when I reorder tasks in a tag filter view, the underlying task hierarchy is destroyed. It should not be changed! Instead, tag order should be saved as a characteristic relative to that filter view only (tasks hierarchy is only changed if in task hierarchy view).
Thank you for considering this improvement!

Hi Bruce, Happy to know you like the drag & drop (reorder) feature. And yes, tags and priority are two of the most beloved features of our users too. 😃 Looking at your suggestion, I see where you are coming from. You would like to reorder tasks in a sorted/filtered view so you can start with the one at the top, while keeping the same structure of all the tasks in the tree view. Yes, do let us consider it, and I will get back to you if anything. 😃
