How big can a quire list be?

Is there any limit? I use it as a knowledge base. At some point it'll be too slow to search, right? Or the DOM reaches a limit? For example google sheets becomes really slow with about 6k rows already. I'm at 2.6k on quire. Pretty sure they are using different technologies, but I wokder if there's a natural limit being in the browser

Search happens on the server, so that might not be the bottleneck. Maybe Scrolling a fully unfolded outline becomes slow?
