#4112: Quire Feedback
Status: To-do

Hi,

I'm new to Quire and loving it! There are two things I'd love to know if you are working to integrate:

  1. Setting up tasks that need to occur a certain number of days per week, but not on a specific day
  2. Setting up tasks so they take a specified amount of time.. perhaps tied to a timer. This is easier for my brain to process than to say it is a certain percentage complete (although I see the utility of that as well).

Another question.. how do I deal with a task that is overdue? It really bothers me! Do I just reschedule it or delete it? I'm wondering if there is a logic to dealing with a missed workout or writing day. Thanks!

Hi @pjp - Welcome to the Quire community! 🙌 Thank you so much for your feedback! We appreciate you giving us your suggestions and help us grow and become even better.

I will pass your suggestions to our Product team and let you know if I have any related updates.

  1. This is an interesting idea for a project/task management tool like us. I've seen similar feature on Google Calendar mobile app, where you can set a certain numbers of days for the task to repeat in a single week and the system will calculate and find a perfect time/date for the task. Is this what you are talking about?
  2. Having a Timer/ Time Tracking feature is in our consideration for our future enhancements. However, setting a specific amount of time to a task is a first. I will take it to the team for more discussion. (I'm thinking when we have Custom Fields in the future, it might be a solution for this request.)
  3. I would suggest you create a new status called "Skipped" or "Missed" (or other names you like) and set the status percentage to 100%. This way, when you have miss a task, you can set it to the Missed status. It will act like it's closed but won't be counted as a completed task in the Overview tab project stats/summary.

I hope this helps. Kindly let me know if you have any questions!

I think your suggestion will work perfectly!!! It will keep it from seeming as if I need to make up days of writing sessions. Thank you!!
