In Kanban, when a task is marked Complete, it gets a line through it but nothing more. The task has to be dragged over to the Completed tab manually. Whereas if you drag an incomplete task over to the Completed tab, it gets marked as Complete automatically.
The task should be moved to Completed and be set to Complete once it get marked as Completed in the Progress tab.

After you ticked/completed the task in the Board view, it won't move to the Completed column right away. This is to prevent the page from moving around. Since in most cases, you might be ticking several tasks off at once. If you want the task to move to the Completed column after ticking it off, you can click on the green refresh icon at the top filter bar. I hope my explanation makes sense.
