I was considering to start developing a project management tool because the ones I found on internet were not satisfying my needs. The tool I was planning was basically Quire. I was so glad that I found it! Congratulations what you did so far. It is fantastic.

Suggestions:

1. IMHO, attributes of composed tasks (the ones that have subtasks) should be derived from leaf tasks. For instance, if the composed task contain three chained leaf tasks with the first one starting at 01/01/2021 and the last one ending at 30/03/2021, then the composed task should start in 01/01/2021 and finish in 30/03/2021.

2. Assuming that composed tasks are completely defined by subtasks, i.e., by completing the all subtasks, the composed task is completed, the kanban/scrum view could show only leaf tasks to make things more clean.

3. Allow assigning tasks to users that are not in quire (something like guests). People that are testing Quire probably will not ask the organization to change the project management system before evaluating the tool for a while. Having a team in Quire and other teams in other tools would be a burden. Therefore, to allow the use of the functionality to group activities by person without having to ask everyone to register in Quire, it would be nice to allow assignment to non-registred people.

4. Double-click on tasks start editing instead of opening the details window.

5. Adding tags when editing append to the tag list instead of replacing.

6. Add a button to sort tasks in the tree by deadline. Sometimes we list activities without thinking about deadlines first. In these cases, the tree become unordered in time. Tasks created first appear first in the tree even if they should be executed last. We can do the ordering manually, but an automatic way of sorting everything would be nice.

7. IMHO, when the group by tag and filter by tag are used together, only the tags selected in the filter should be listed in the groups. Currently, all tags that appear together with the filtered tags are also shown. For instance: consider I have the following tasks: T1 #writting #post T2 #development #test T3 #writting #report T4 #development #coding If I want to see the next "writting" and "development" tasks, I could group by tag and filter tasks that contain "writting" or "development". However, when I do so, all other tasks groups ("post", "test", "report", "coding") are also presented which makes the view quite cluttered.

8. Allow salving views. Most of the time, the project manager will want to see the next deadlines for each person, and the next tasks to do. This can be achieved using the group, filter and sort functionalities, but you have to configure everything again (several clicks) every time you change the view and come back.

9. Scheduling notifications to be send by email / whatsapp.
