#4341: Quire Feedback
Status: To-do
IMHO, attributes of composed tasks (the ones that have subtasks) should be derived from leaf tasks. For instance, if the composed task contain three chained leaf tasks with the first one starting at 01/01/2021 and the last one ending at 30/03/2021, then the composed task should start in 01/01/2021 and finish in 30/03/2021.

What I feel the OP is asking for is a closer integration of parent tasks and subtasks

I'd like to add my support for this feature request. The sub-tasks are by definition part of the parent. Therefore unless there are other dates at the parent level, the parent should be driven for the earliest to the latest sub-task as a span of time

Hi @filipemtz - At the moment, we consider parent task and its subtasks as separated tasks. You can set different start and due dates to the parent task and its subtasks. It gives you more flexibility.
I think the suggestion that you mentioned above is similar to Task Dependency. The start and due date of the parent task are dependent on its subtasks. When we implement that in the future, it might be solution for this request. I will keep you posted.
Please let me know if you have other ideas in mind. Thanks!
