I don't know if it supposed to be like that but I found out that comments disappear after recurring task is completed. So on the next cycle recurring task won't contain comments which were posted previously.
For example: we have a recurring task on every sunday:
- recurring task is active on 4th april -> comments posted on th 4th arpil -> task completed
- recurring task is active on 11th april -> it doesn't contain comment that was posted on the 4th of April
To my mind it would be useful to save comments in recurring tasks because it's someway of saving the history/log of that task.
For example, we have a recurring task of sending some money each month to charity (amount of money could be different) - i could write in comment that i've send 10$ and complete the task. Next month i will send 20$ and post it to comments.
Different tasks - different log information - amount of time, money, documents, important notes etc.

Hi @peggy! Thanks for the response. Sorry for my delay. Can you elaborate on what this would be like? Today we can already trace back and see old comments, but one (previous) task at a time. Unfortunately, this has to be manual and for a lot of tasks, it can be overwhelming. I understand that the semantics for "recurring task" means a really new one, but maybe we could have a new property to see its history -- like activity logs, you know? I think it would be useful and not disruptive for those who don't need it.

In the latest version update, for the new recurring tasks, you will now find a link called Show comments from previous recurring tasks. Click on the link then it will expand to show all the comments from the previous tasks. I hope this helps with what you were looking for.

The newly recurred task is a completely different task from the original one, which means the comments that were made for the original task will not be duplicated into the new task.
However, I understand your point, I will bring your suggestion to our Dev team.

Hi @vitalwarley, unfortunately, we don't have an update for this right now. However, we have been thinking about adding a link to the newly recurring task so it will be easier for users to trace back to the previous task and see the old comments. What do you think about this? Thank you!

Hi @vitalwarley , sorry about my late reply. I have passed your feedback to our team once more and if we have any updates, I will keep you posted.
At the moment, a workaround would be adding the process in the description area, as the description area will carry on to the newly created recurring task. Will this be helpful? Thank you!
