Adding task to MyTasks from inside a project doesn't assign task to me?

Could you please specify more on the steps of how you added the tasks to My Tasks? Do you mean you added tasks via the keyboard shortcut m (through the little pop up at the upper right corner)?

If so, then yes, the tasks added to My Tasks, will not automatically be assigned to you. You may think of My Tasks as an inbox where you can store tasks/ideas that sometimes doesn't necessary needs to be assigned to you. If you have any questions regarding this, I will bring it to our team for discussion.

Just a small tip, in the Account Settings, under Project Preferences, you can check the options for 'Automatically assign new tasks to myself', then all the task you created will automatically be assigned to you.
