#4783: Quire Feedback
Status: To-do
Tag: Enhancements

Firstly, thank you so much for your work! I recently started using Quire and it's the first project management tool that I feel fits my workflow and is maintainable.

This is a feature request for weekly summaries of completed tasks. Essentially, I would find it tremendously helpful if I could click a button under [PROJECT NAME] > Overview > Weekly Summary > Completed that exports a report with a summary of the tasks I completed that week. I'm agnostic to the report's format (e.g., email, web-based, PDF, markdown, CSV, etc.) but I would like to be able to see the comments under each completed item.

My use case

I'm a software engineer for an open source atmospheric chemistry model. Week-to-week my workflow is a combination of long-term projects and day-to-day things that come up. Quire is great for helping me keep track of my tasks and what I've completed. I usually post notes/pictures/info in the comments of my tasks for reference later.

I have multiple meetings each week in which I give updates on the progress I made that week. Currently, I look at the Weekly Summary > Completed list, right click on each, and then copy it to a GoogleDoc. This works well but it's tedious. It would be great if I could somehow get an autogenerated report.

Hi,

Thanks for following up. Unfortunately we don't have a workaround for the weekly summary report at this point.

What I can share is that our team is currently working on revamping the project overview, which may open up better reporting options going forward. I don't have a specific timeline to share yet, but I'll let you know as updates come.

Is there in the meantime something available for weekly reports?

Hi Liam - Thank you for your feedback and explaining your use case in detail. It's in our consideration to make enhancements to our Overview page and reports. I will pass your feedback to our team and hopefully we can take this into consideration when we start working on related feature. Thank you.
