Customize status labels

Hi, you can tag tasks using # or just clicking the tag button on a task. Using these tags, you can create filters for those tags. I've created some custom filters by editing some of the "recent filters"

You can see here in the image that I have a custom filter for "Waiting" as well. This is based on a filter with a tag of "Waiting" on it.

Hi Ivo, I think you are speaking of the already-existing sort by "Update Per Week"? It lets you see what tasks have been updated (modified) this week, last week, etc.

As I think this is a work in progress- I think they are still developing these features. There is definitely room for improvement when it comes to customizing your filters.

I was lucky I stumbled on the fact that you could edit the recent filters. I hope this suggestion helps you solve what you are looking to do.

@i.meisen Take a look at #481 and see if that makes sense for your needs. I put that request in shortly after commenting here before.

Hi @brian.mortus that's definitely a short term solution.

I agree 100%. I had not noticed that limitation yet as I have not tried to do any "complex" filters.

Hi @crystal13 I do realize now that the reason to use custom status labels would be to use it with the filter. e.g being able to filter out tasks with a certain tag and status assigned to me. Examples;

• status in progress, tag "waiting for", assigned to me
• all uncompleted tasks except label "on hold" etc...

So a more advanced filter option would be even beter and probably serve more people.

Hi Ivo and Brian, You guys are on the right track! Being able to apply multiple filter conditions (eg. all incomplete tasks assigned to me without tag "on hold") is already in our plan. 😃

Hi Ivo, Yes, like what @brian.mortus has suggested, tag is one way to add your own "status." 😃 Do you have any suggestion for the "long term" solution (eg. add a "Customize" option under Set status)?

another addition; a filter to see all modified tasks in a period would be great to see what happend last few days.

Hi @brian.mortus What i'm looking for is more an option to add multiple criteria and also en exclude option where now it's only possible to define 1 tag, 1 status etc and it always includes the given choice where I want to exclude certain options.
