Dear quire, I think it is confusing that the Task order is identical for List and Timeline but not for Kanban view.
I am experienced with project/task management software and I have used Jira quite a lot. One feature I like in particular in Jira is the Backlog which I use to prioritize the tasks. The resulting task order in the Jira Backlog is carried over to the Jira Kanban board. I would like to have the same behavior in quire.
To summarize: I would like to be able to use the list view to refine and prioritize tasks into a specific order and have that order carried over to the Kanban board. Is that possible to achieve this behavior or is the Kanban board task order "decoupled"?

Well, yes it does. I understand you reasoning, but I still find it preferrable to have the same ordering accross views. It would make the experience so much more "coherent".
I think that the list ordering is a very important aspect. And the more tasks you have the more important it becomes... I am using Jira at work and I appreciate the list ordering in that service, but I am avoiding Jira for personal use. Quire is, in my opinion, one of the better project managers out there, but the fact that it does not have a coherence list ordering is killing me... So I am continually scouting the "project managment landscape" to find any alternative. So far, I have tried a few alternatives to Quire, but I always return to Quire...
If you could make "coherent list ordering" and option I believe that it would very helpful. Not only for me, but for many users. PLease consider this!

Hi Jonas - Thank you for feedback. In our Board view, the task cards will has its own order. You can move the tasks that have higher priority to the top the of column and vice versa. This order will not affect the original tree structure in Tree view or Timeline view. Therefore, we do not have an option for the task order to be carried over to our Board view. Having that said, when you switch to the Board view for the first time, the task will follow its original task order until you manually drop and drop thus changing the tasks' order. I hope this answers your question.
