Sidebar section of the active project collapses on page load

I have a Smart Folder and Workspaces section that I want to always be expanded when my page loads. However, what happens is the section of the active project will always collapse when the page is refreshed. For example, if both my Smart Folders and Workspaces section are expanded and I select one of my Workspace projects, then refresh the page what I see is that the Smart Folders section remains expanded but the Workspace section collapses. Same if I select a Smart Folder, refresh the page, then the Smart Folder section collapses while the Workspaces section remains expanded.
