#5242: Quire Feedback
Status: To-do
Tag: Feature Request

Hi Peggy 👋

There's already an option in the settings to "Automatically assign new tasks to myself", which I find really useful.

Even more useful, I would love an option "Automatically assign new tasks for today". The start date and the due date would be the current day. And whoosh, productivity goes 📈📈📈

Here's the way I use dates with Quire:

  • Everytime I add a task, I want to set a start date and a due date. (And the keyboard shortcut for assigning a date without leaving the keyboard is not very usable to me so I have to use my mouse.)

  • 70% of the time, I create tasks for today.

  • When creating tasks in the future, I prefer using the timeline view and setting dates by clicking on the timeline. Moving tasks, extending, and shortening them is so simple in the timeline view.

  • I almost never use the small modal calendar. I was really happy when you added the "Today", "Tomorrow", "Next week", "None" buttons at the bottom of the calendar. It's a nice gain in productivity.

This new option would be another real gain in productivity for me 🔥 Thank you 🙇

I second this request. This would be a great time-saver. (In my case, I would prefer to also have the option to only set due date without setting start date.) Thanks for considering!
