#5337: Quire Feedback
Status: Completed

While adding all-inline tasks, it often makes me tricky that while pressing Enter, it would start new task instead just complete adding this and leave it's focus. Especially that Esc just cancels creation.

It is not that bad if there is no grouping applied. But while adding task by grouping button, it will start making that new task in "None" section, which means moving entire scroll to bottom of page every time.

Is there any way to make it that it would catch intention properly?

A few solutions that may work:

  1. Make it that Enter just completes adding task and leaves focus and only Ctrl+Enter or Shift+Enter or so goes to next task.
  2. Fix that next task would be also created in same grouping.
  3. Do not same (empty) tasks (created by enter) if they are entirely empty (no desc etc.)

Hi @Grox,

  1. Make it that Enter just completes adding task and leaves focus and only Ctrl+Enter or Shift+Enter or so goes to next task.

When you create a task, you can hit Ctrl+Enter for Windows, or Cmd+Enter for Mac at the end to complete the creation of the task and not start a new task.

  1. Fix that next task would be also created in same grouping.

When in Group, it should be able to add new tasks directly in the group section. Could you let me know your Group setting so I can try to reproduce it?

  1. Do not same (empty) tasks (created by enter) if they are entirely empty (no desc etc.)

Just like in point one, you can try this workaround and see if this works for you.
