#5375: Quire Feedback
Status: To-do

Hello, I think it would be very useful to be able to toggle the comments of subtasks to be visible in a single, unified thread. Sometimes the conversations aren't fully neat, and things get mentioned where they 'shouldn't' be mentioned, and the information ends up where it 'shouldn't' be , and not being where it should be.

For my team to transfer to Quire, I think this would be a super feature. Just being able to see, sorted by the time of the message, all comments on a task and all subtasks. Of course, the subtask comments should be toggle-able, ON/OFF.

The idea is to make it super easy to search for something you remember reading, but can't remember where you read it..

Cheers ~

Hi @IvanCajic, Thank you for getting back to me with a thorough explanation of your suggestions. I understand your point of view, however, at the moment I'm afraid this is not our priority.

As a workaround, you can use the Search tasks icon at the top right-hand side of your workspace to search for a comment.

I hope this helps. Thank you

Hi @IvanCajic, Thank you for your suggestions!

However, I do not fully grasp your ideas. So I want to double-check again with you. You mentioned you would like the comments to be in a single, unified thread, do you mean you would like to see them on a single separate page? Or do you want to see it all together in the parent task and be able to toggle the subtasks' comments in the parent task?

If you have any examples or mock-ups that you can share with us, we are more than happy to see them. This will especially be helpful when I pass your feedback to our Product Team.

Thank you and looking forward to your reply.

Hi Golda, thanks for your reply. I didn't have a clear enough idea to say how I'd implement it.. but I just wished for this functionality to be available in some form.

Now that I think about it, being able to toggle to see them in the parent task would be intuitive.

As I think about it more, being able to see all comments of the whole project would also be useful. For this purpose, maybe the best approach would be to expand the functionality of the Notification area. Being able to open the Notification area as a separate page, being able to toggle which events to display (Completion of tasks, Assignings of tasks, Comments).

It would be a good way to have a bird-eye view of how the project has progressed, and, by being able to see just the comments, it could be very easy to find anything by using the browser's search feature.
