I used to transfer a lot of tasks between projects especially in one discussion project. When it is decided to be implemented, it goes to related project. Tasks are often linked with URL as reference with polls etc.
Sadly, after transfering task, URLs die.
Task 39 cannot be found.
I assume you aren't able to create new task 39 in same project again. So why don't just add redirect to new place of same task under this URL?
Project A id 39 -> Project B id 352
Hello @Raisag
Sadly it doesn't work for me still even on fresh transfers. Moreover, I guess this change could have caused critical issue.
I transferred task #43 with child #44 from project Test to new Test 2. They got ids #2 and #3 in Test 2. But while I moved them back to Test, they are still #2 and #3 instead get new/old id. While making new ids there is giving #44. So it could potentially overwrite something with transferring I guess.

Hi @Grox, Our team has fixed the redirect task issue 💪 . Kindly try again and let me know if the issue persists.
Regarding the task ID issue, transferring a task back to the original project will not overwrite the task ID. When the task is transferred back to the original project, it will have the original task ID as before it was transferred to another project. You can try it and let me know if you encounter any issues.
Thank you.

Hi @Grox, Currently, when you transfer a task to another project, the task will have a new task ID. However, your feedback makes sense. I will forward this to our Product Team for further consideration. When our team has any updates, I will keep you posted. Thank you.

Hi @Grox, I will explain the steps to be able to redirect back to the task after transferring it to another project.
- In Task A, refer to Task B by typing the #taskname or #taskID in the description
- Transfer Task B to another project
- Go back to Task A and click on the #Task B
- You will be redirected to Task B in another project
Please let me know if the above steps are the same as yours or if you have any issues.
I transferred task
#43with child#44from projectTestto newTest 2. They got ids#2and#3inTest 2. But while I moved them back toTest, they are still#2and#3instead get new/old id. While making new ids there is giving#44. So it could potentially overwrite something with transferring I guess.
I tried to reproduce this, but unfortunately, I couldn't. Could please share some screenshots or a screen recording so that I can pass this to our team?
Thank you.

Hi @Raisag
It works, but partially.
Manually cut/copied links work:

https://quire.io/w/Test-481/47/hi?view=treeBoth old and new projects are in List mode.
