The Spanish translation of the app is really bad.

In several places it's clear that strings were translated in isolation, with no regard for their context. One particularly egregious example is the translation of the tooltip on the "clear filter" button. The translation given is "filtro limpio", which does not mean "clear the filter", but rather (roughly) "a filter that is clear". That translation makes no sense — the English text is ambiguous and the translation makes an incorrect assumption to disambiguate. Several of the long strings describing the upgrade process are practically gibberish.

Are these machine translations? Are you writing code that combines short localised phrases without regard for the grammar of the target language? Are you employing human translators but not giving them any way to understand the context of what they are translating?
